Student Scholarship Opportunity

Calling All Nursing Students! The Black Nurses Association of Baltimore (BNAB) is proud to support the next generation of nurses through our Student Scholarship Program.

BNAB Scholarship

Important Information

Scholarship Award

$1,000 Scholarship
Awarded to eligible undergraduate nursing students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to addressing health disparities.

Who Is Eligible?

Applicants must:

Be a member of BNAB
Be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate nursing program
Be in good academic standing
Be entering their 2nd or 3rd year of nursing school

Application Requirements

Two letters of reference
(One from a faculty member and one from an academic advisor)
A recent academic transcript
A 250–300 word essay addressing:
- Why you chose nursing
- Attributes required to be a nurse
- What you bring to the profession
A brief written response discussing:
- Health disparities and health equity for African Americans
- How you plan to be an agent of change for underserved communities

Important Dates

Scholarships are awarded in the Fall semester only
